Aguascalientes, MexicoFull timeIRC*****The Process Engineering Manager is responsible for managing a team of process engineers who will work closely with design engineers, program managers, marketing and quality engineers to support the development of new product lines.
This includes the development of new equipment and processes as well as the creation of cost estimates of labor and capital.
The team will also provide ongoing sustaining support to production lines at our integral sites; most of this is remote support on a consultant/mentor basis.General ResponsibilitiesLeverages engineering fundamentals, and organization to make sound decisions on complex technical issuesProvides direction for a team of process engineers and technicians.
Establishes clear goals, strategies, and initiatives to drive the necessary changes to ensure achievement of production and financial metricsDefine process engineering resource requirements and capacity expansion projects and actively work to recruit or reassign resources to succeedWork proactively with multiple global business centers and global operation process engineering groups to identify the best strategy to converge on processes, equipment and product roadmapProvide technical and organizational consultation for product teamsDevelop synergies across multiple product linesUnderstanding of market and implications for business as well as understanding of business strategy and business case developmentPresent technical information with specifics on projects/schedules and timelines Responsibilities include understanding customer requirements and expectations, and developing/driving actions and schedules needed to support those program expectationsInteracts with management and customers on matters requiring coordination across organizational linesKnowledge of engineering fundamentalsFamiliarity with manufacturing methods welding, brazing, soldering, adhesive bonding, machining, stamping, molding, and forming.
Basic knowledge of a core manufacturing processesTransferring knowledge to make site personnelSupport improvement projects to reduce cycle time,



defects and manufacturing costWork with suppliers and contract manufacturers to ensure processes are capable, have sufficient controls in place, can meet our delivery requirements, and meet our cost targetsEvaluate technical capabilities including, tooling design, build experience, maintenance program, processes and process controls, cell automation if required, quality control systems, and materials knowledgeManages all evaluations of personnel and is responsible for equipment selectionExperience / QualificationsA university degree required (i.E.
