Position Summary
Responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing all logistics activities related to offshore construction project to ensure that materials, equipment, and resources are mobilised and delivered to the construction site on time and in the most cost-effective manner. Work with project managers, suppliers, and contractors to streamline operations and maintain a smooth workflow. Oversee the supply chain, inventory, and logistical processes and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Requires a deep understanding of SCM & Logistics, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a high-stakes environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, monitor, and maintain supply chain management strategies that increase the efficiency and speed of supply operations for the project.
Manage negotiations with suppliers/vendors.
Support with optimizing warehouse functions.
Monitoring costs and staying within allocated budgets, preparing relevant reports.
Plan and coordinate logistics activities.
Ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and resources to job sites.
Collaborate with project managers, suppliers, and contractors to optimize operations.
Monitor inventory levels and manage SCM/procurement processes.
Develop and implement logistics strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards in all logistics operations.
Identify and resolve logistical challenges and delays proactively.
Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports on logistics activities.
Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Logistics or related field.
Minimum 7-10 years of experience in SCM / Logistics management role encompassing Materials Management, Warehousing, Logistics, Asset Management within Oil & Gas, Offshore, Marine, Construction, or EPC/EPCI projects.
Experience leading procurement, material control, inventory and logistics teams.
Experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing supplier relationships, including contract negotiations and performance monitoring.
Strong understanding of local regulations, customs, and compliance in the oil and gas sector.
Experience supporting offshore construction, commissioning, maintenance, or turnaround projects.
Microsoft Excel (Advanced).
Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of Primavera P6 advantageous.
ERP Systems (SAP, Oracle, IFS, or equivalent).
Material Tracking and Inventory Management Systems.
