Position Summary
Responsible for coordinating and supervising field activities including supporting technical operations, installations, inspections, equipment repairs or changeouts, troubleshooting and problem-solving during construction/installation/commissioning of the offshore asset. Work closely with other project staff, including engineering and technical personnel, subcontractors and others throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and supervise daily field activities to ensure compliance with project requirements.
Provide technical support during construction, installation, commissioning, and maintenance activities.
Review engineering drawings, specifications, procedures, and work packages prior to execution.
Monitor work progress and identify potential issues affecting schedule, cost, quality, or safety.
Interface with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and project teams to resolve technical and operational matters.
Verify that field activities comply with approved engineering documents and project specifications.
Conduct site inspections and support quality control activities to ensure work is performed to required standards.
Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and logistical requirements for field operations.
Assist in planning and scheduling project activities and resource allocation.
Prepare daily progress reports, technical reports, punch lists, and project documentation.
Participate in risk assessments, toolbox talks,
and HSE initiatives to promote safe work practices.
Support project commissioning, testing, and handover activities.
Assist with the close-out of non-conformances, technical queries, and corrective actions.
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Industrial, Marine, Structural, or related discipline).
Minimum 5 years of experience in Oil & Gas, Offshore, Marine, Construction, or EPC/EPCI projects.
Proven experience in field execution, construction, installation, commissioning, or maintenance activities.
Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors, client representatives and others.
Familiarity with offshore operations, lifting activities, mechanical completion, and project handover processes, is preferred.
Excellent English language skills (spoken/written/read).
Spanish language proficiency would be exceptionally advantageous.
Key Competencies
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
Knowledge of construction methods, installation procedures, and quality requirements.
Understanding of project planning, scheduling, and progress monitoring.
Familiarity with QA/QC requirements, inspection processes, and industry standards.
Working knowledge of HSE regulations, Permit-to-Work (PTW), and risk assessment processes.
Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Microsoft Project or Primavera P6 (preferred).
Experience with project reporting and document management systems.
Preferred Certifications
Registration with a Professional Engineering Body/Institute strongly preferred.
Offshore documentation (BOSIET, Seamans book, Offshore Medical, etc)
