Assess supplier APQP activities and readiness for new products, transfers, process changes, and production ramp-up in compliance with AS9145 and Safran requirements.
Evaluate APQP plans, deliverables, milestones, and maturity gates with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Assess manufacturing readiness and identify product, process, quality, capacity, and industrialization risks early in the product lifecycle.
Review PPAP execution and verify completion and approval of required deliverables.
Evaluate Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEAs, Control Plans, inspection plans, and related manufacturing documentation.
Ensure Key Characteristics and Critical-to-Quality requirements are effectively implemented and controlled.
Assess process capability and manufacturing controls using statistical tools such as Cp/Cpk, Pp/Ppk, SPC, MSA, and Gage R&R.;
Verify First Article Inspection readiness and compliance with AS9102 and Safran requirements.
Assess production capacity and rate readiness, including tooling, equipment, staffing, cycle times, and run-at-rate capability; elevate major capability gaps as needed.
Collaborate with Engineering, Supply Chain, and suppliers to identify manufacturability and producibility risks during industrialization.
Communicate APQP assessment results, readiness status, risks, and improvement actions to cross-functional teams.
Conduct on-site supplier APQP, industrial readiness, and production readiness reviews.
Assess readiness for transition from APQP/NPI to serial production and identify risks, controls, and open actions.
Capture lessons learned, support continuous improvement, and identify issues requiring corrective actions or supplier capability development.
Education: Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering,
Manufacturing, Quality, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or related technical field.
Experience: Minimum 6 years’ experience in Supplier Quality, Supplier Development, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrialization, APQP and/or related Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Other Skills: Experience in Aerospace & Defense, Automotive or other highly regulated manufacturing industry desired.
Working knowledge of APQP and PPAP methodologies – Advanced.
Knowledge of AS9145, AS9100 and AS9102 requirements – Advanced.
Technical awareness of manufacturing and industrialization processes – Advanced.
Knowledge of Quality tools including Process Flow, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, Gage R&R;, 8D, 5W and Ishikawa – Advanced.
Understanding of process capability and statistical methods including Cp/Cpk and Pp/Ppk
Experience with supplier capacity analysis, production readiness and rate readiness assessments
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical requirements
Project Management skills
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred.
Problem solving skills - ability to analyze product and process risk and determine if driven by design, supplier capability, manufacturing process or other factors in a timely fashion
Strong communication skills at all levels (written and verbal).
Microsoft Office (Excel, PBI, MS Word, PowerPoint)
ERP Systems – Basic.
Ability to work in autonomous environment.
High level of self motivation and job planning in order to achieve goals and meet deadlines.
Strong customer focus.
Leadership through influence and effective conflict resolution.
Required fluency in English
