TheRole We are lookingfor a Senior Software Engineer to join one of our top client engagements — aglobal leader in payments technology — working within an emerging paymentstechnology team in Mexico City. The team researches and develops the nextgeneration of products and services that let consumers transact securely,efficiently, and intelligently across every channel, from traditional retail tomobile and e-commerce.
This is ahands-on engineering role with significant depth in application-layerdevelopment and user interface implementation for web and mobile webapplications. Working in an Agile environment alongside other engineers and theteam's technical lead, you will help shape the future of connected commercewhile delivering an exceptional experience to end users.
WhatYou'll Do Clarify functional product requirements and translatethem into well-designed application-layer code.
Design and implement application and web services logic(REST and SOAP) across multiple products, services, and devices.
Turn visual designs into functional, high-quality userinterfaces for web and mobile web applications.
Collaborate closely with fellow engineers and the teamtechnical lead within an Agile development methodology.
Build prototypes and proofs of concept to evaluate newframeworks, technologies, and product ideas.




Participate in code reviews and help maintain aconsistently high standard of code quality across the team.
Contribute to CI/CD, automated deployment, and otherpractices that improve the development workflow.
Work directly with customers, partners, or third-partydevelopers where the engagement requires it.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, InformationTechnology, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or anequivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
5+ years of experience translating functionalrequirements into application-layer code and visual designs into functionaluser interfaces within web applications.
Strong Java/J2EE development experience, including theSpring Framework (Spring MVC, Spring Security, Aspects), JPA, JSF, and JUnit.
Hands-on API development experience with web services(REST and SOAP) and JSON/XML.
Experience with JBoss, Log4j, Eclipse STS, SQL, andOracle Database.
Solid exposure to Agile development and DevOpspractices, including Infrastructure as Code, Continuous Integration, and CI/CDpipelines.
Strong verbal and written communication andpresentation skills, with excellent relationship-building, collaboration, andorganizational abilities.
Niceto Have Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
Native Android and/or iOS app UI implementation.
Architecting, designing, and developing applications onPivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF).
Designing and building applications using container andserverless technologies.
Architecting highly available systems using loadbalancing and horizontal scalability.
Configuration management platforms such as Chef,Puppet, Salt, or Ansible.
Strong practical development experience on both Linuxand Windows-based systems.
A track record as a developer, architect, productmanager, CTO, or consultant across a variety of platforms.
Presenting at technology conferences, hackathons, orsimilar public events.
