The Standard, Mexico City arrives in the historic Tabacalera neighborhood with character, color, and a signature wink. With 206 guestrooms, 27 branded residences, vibrant dining destinations, and a rooftop overlooking the Monumento a la Revolución, we're bringing our unmistakable energy to Latin America.
We're looking for an HR Employee Relations Lead to help bring the hotel to life behind the scenes. We're searching for someone with strong leadership skills, a people-first mindset, and a genuine understanding that the experience we create for our employees directly shapes the experience we deliver to our guests. This role will be instrumental in building an inclusive, engaged, and high-performing culture that brings The Standard's values to life every day.

What You'll Do
· Oversee employee movements, contracts, personnel files, and employment documentation.
· Support processes related to payroll, benefits, and employee programs.
· Ensure HR policies and procedures are updated and consistently followed.
· Participate in succession planning and internal talent development initiatives.
· Monitor employee satisfaction and organizational climate indicators.
· Ensure compliance with Mexican labor law, internal regulations, and corporate policies.
· Manage disciplinary processes, internal investigations, and workplace conflict resolution.
· Build and maintain positive relationships with employees and operational leaders across all hotel departments.
· Maintain effective and professional relationships with union representatives, fostering an environment of respect, collaboration, and compliance with established agreements.
· Participate in collective bargaining processes, labor agreement reviews, and the management of union-related matters in coordination with the Human Resources Director and legal advisors.
Qualifications
What You’ll Bring
Experience in the hospitality, hotel, tourism, entertainment, or other service-driven industries.
Experience working with unionized employees.
Knowledge and application of Collective Bargaining Agreements and labor union regulations.
Experience managing disciplinary processes, terminations, employee separations, and labor law compliance.
Ability to partner with operational leaders to provide guidance and solutions on talent management matters.
Previous experience in lifestyle hotels, luxury hospitality, or international brands is highly preferred.
Experience with Abrhil or talent management platforms is preferred.
Fluency in English and Spanish, with the ability to confidently engage with employees, leaders, and stakeholders at all levels.Flexibility to work varied shifts, weekends, and holidays.
