As part of the Engineering Product Design & Development team, you will use your engineering and project management skills / background to lead cross-functional technical, cost management, purchasing, material planning, plant and other local and global team members & stakeholders to manage the development of products including but not limited to automotive and consumer industries.
1. Typically leads fast paced projects focused on product design & development.
2. Technical complexity moderate to high, communication and customer facing interfaces tend to be complex and dynamic.
3. Leads regional product development resources and interfaces for general customers and offices.
4. High level of customer interaction across the globe, usually several times a week.
5. Expected to understand and provide direction on development and cost management issues.
6. Interfaces with product design, new product introduction and customer regional offices.
7. Multicultural and able to lead simultaneously projects from different stakeholders.
8. Strong communicator.
Responsibilities include:
- Apply project management standard practices to create and maintain project budgets, schedules and action items to meet customer milestones, define & track and manage project spending and standard cost to budget, and successfully lead the project team to achieve high quality program launches.
- Manage all development activities including part and documentation deliveries, creation and revision of bills of materials, validation and build planning, risk mitigation, launch assurance and problem resolution.
- Serve as primary point of communication for owned projects.
- Document and deliver regular project status reports to required stakeholders and maintain all project data archives per established internal protocols.
- Manage other project-related activities as needed.
Requirements:
- BS in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.
