Job Overview

The Quality Engineer is responsible for the maintenance and reporting aspects of the quality management system at large. The Quality Engineer implements policies and procedures that enhance the awareness of quality, process controls, and continuous improvement of the quality management system.

A Day In The Life

Every day at Hubbell is different and you’ll contribute in many ways. On any given day, you’ll make a difference by:

Developing and implementing quality management systems and procedures to ensure compliance with ISO standards and other regulatory requirements.

Designing, executing, and overseeing inspection and testing processes for products at different stages of production to ensure quality and reliability.

Collaborating with product development teams to integrate quality control into product designs and development processes.

Analyzing data from quality testing and production metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to reduce waste and increase efficiency.

Conducting root cause analysis for defect occurrences,



report findings, and make recommendations for improvements.

Preparing detailed reports on quality issues, performance metrics, and corrective actions.

Coordinating with suppliers and vendors to ensure their products meet quality standards.

Training and guiding production staff on quality control measures to improve product excellence.

Monitoring the ongoing performance and maintenance of the quality management system.

Staying updated on the latest industry trends and quality control techniques.

What will help you thrive in this role?

Bachelor’s Degree in Quality, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering, or related field (required)

Minimum 3 years of experience as a quality engineer (preferred)

Certification in quality control is preferred (e.g., Six Gima, ISO 9001, etc.)

Experience in leading internal company audits and supplier audits (preferred)
