The Elementary School Music Teacher is responsible for developing and delivering a comprehensive music education program for students in grades K-5. This role requires an educator who can create a structured and positive learning environment, teach fundamental musical concepts, and inspire students to engage with music.



The teacher will work collaboratively with colleagues and parents to support student development and contribute to the school's educational mission, with an expectation of organizing and directing two annual music concerts.

FUNCTIONS

Instruction and Curriculum:

• Develop and implement a music curriculum that aligns international music standards.

• Teach fundamental music concepts, including rhythm, melody, harmony, and music history.

• Utilize a variety of instructional methods to accommodate different learning styles.

• Integrate instruments and technology to enhance musical instruction.

Student Assessment and Progress:

• Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments.

• Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.

• Provide constructive feedback to students to support their musical development.

Classroom Management:

• Establish and maintain an organized and respectful classroom environment.
