The Royal Caribbean Group's HR Transformation Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full-time Senior Manager, HR System Design reporting to the Director, HR System Design.
This position works on-site in Mexico City.
Position Summary:
The Sr. Manager, HR System Design, leads the design, configuration, governance, and continuous evolution of HR technology platforms across the enterprise. This role serves as the technical and functional leader for HR Systems, responsible for ensuring scalable, secure, and business-aligned solutions across SAP SuccessFactors, HR applications, integrations, and related technologies.
The Sr. Manager partners closely with HR Centers of Excellence, HR Operations, IT, Architecture, Product, and Engineering teams to define platform strategy, oversee solution design, establish governance standards, and drive delivery excellence. While providing leadership for a team of HR System Design professionals, this role remains deeply engaged in platform capabilities, solution architecture, configuration governance, and complex problem resolution.
RESPONSIBILITIES
HR Technology Strategy & Solution Design
Define and maintain the HR Systems roadmap in alignment with business and HR Transformation priorities.
Lead solution design activities across SAP SuccessFactors and related HR technology platforms.
Establish platform governance standards, configuration principles, and design best practices.
Ensure scalability, security, maintainability, and long-term sustainability of HR system solutions.
Partner with Architecture and Engineering teams to evaluate future platform capabilities and emerging technologies.
Product Ownership & Portfolio Leadership




Oversee the portfolio of HR technology products and applications.
Prioritize enhancements, operational support needs, and strategic initiatives.
Ensure alignment between business requirements, technical designs, and product roadmaps.
Lead backlog governance and capacity planning activities.
Support funding, resource allocation, and delivery planning for HR technology initiatives.
Configuration Governance & Technical Leadership
Provide leadership and oversight for system configuration activities, including:
Business Rules
Workflows
Role-Based Permissions (RBP)
Security Models
Templates
Page Configurations
Data Structures
Integrations
Review and approve solution designs for complex enhancements.
Act as the escalation point for critical technical and platform-related issues.
Ensure consistency across environments and releases.
SDLC, Delivery & Release Management
Lead delivery governance across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Ensure proper execution of requirements, configuration, testing, deployment, and production support activities.
Establish testing strategies and quality controls.
Oversee release planning and platform deployment activities.
Drive continuous improvement of delivery methodologies and technical standards.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
Lead, coach, and develop HR System Design Managers, Leads, Analysts, and external consultants.
Partner with HR, IT, Payroll, TA, Learning, Compensation, and Operations stakeholders.
Communicate risks, dependencies, milestones, and business impacts to leadership teams.
Drive organizational readiness and adoption of new platform capabilities.
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE,



AND SKILLS
10+ years of experience supporting HR technology, HRIS platforms, or enterprise applications.
5+ years of leadership experience within HR Technology, HRIS, or Digital Transformation environments.
Deep expertise in SAP SuccessFactors and enterprise HR platforms.
Experience configuring and governing SuccessFactors modules such as:
Employee Central
Recruiting
Onboarding
Performance & Goals
Compensation
Learning
Succession
Strong understanding of:
Business Rules
Workflows
Integrations
Security Models
Data Governance
Release Management
Experience leading general system implementations and complex HR transformation initiatives.
Strong SDLC, Agile, and product delivery experience.
Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
SAP SuccessFactors certifications strongly preferred.
