Role Description This is a full-time Android Developer role based in Benito Juárez, CMX, structured as a hybrid position with a mix of on-site and work-from-home flexibility (3 days onsite).

The Android

Developer will design, build, and maintain advanced Android applications that integrate with mroads’ platforms, including Paññã and other workforce solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing new features, optimizing performance, ensuring application reliability, and collaborating with product managers, designers, and backend engineers. The role involves writing clean, testable code, performing code reviews, resolving bugs, and contributing to app architecture and UX improvements.

The Android

Developer will also stay current with Android best practices and emerging technologies to continuously enhance product quality.

Qualifications

- Lead the end-to-end architecture and development of Android applications using Kotlin




- Define and enforce mobile architecture standards (MVVM, Clean Architecture, modularization, design patterns)
- Drive migration and development of UI using Jetpack Compose
- Design and integrate REST and GraphQL APIs with secure, scalable mobile solutions
- Collaborate with product, UX, backend, and DevOps teams to deliver enterprise-grade mobile apps
- Review code, ensure best practices, and maintain high standards for performance, security, and scalability
- Mentor developers, conduct technical interviews, and contribute to engineering excellence
- Establish CI/CD pipelines, testing strategies, and release best practices
- Evaluate new tools, frameworks, and Android platform updates

Required Skills & Experience

- 8+ years of mobile development experience, with strong focus on Android
- Expert-level Kotlin development
- Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose and modern Android UI practices
- Strong knowledge of Android SDK, Coroutines, Flow, and modern app architecture
- Solid experience integrating RESTful and GraphQL services
- Deep understanding of mobile system design , performance optimization, and security
- Experience in technical leadership or architecture roles
- Strong experience with Git, CI/CD, automated testing, and Play Store deployments

Good to Have

- Experience with large-scale or enterprise mobile platforms
- Knowledge of mobile DevOps, Firebase, and analytics tools
- Exposure to cloud-backed mobile ecosystems (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Experience modernizing or migrating legacy Android apps to Compose
