Job Overview
Our client is looking for a Bilingual Spanish Dental Billing & Claims Specialist to manage dental claims and billing operations for a US healthcare practice. You will prepare and track claims, resolve unpaid or denied claims, verify insurance coverage, and communicate directly with patients about charges and billing questions.
This role suits someone with recent US dental billing experience who is comfortable working with insurers and explaining billing clearly to patients in both Spanish and English.
Schedule: Remote, Full Time | Monday - Friday, 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM Pacific Time, with 1 hour unpaid break (40 work hours per week)
Responsibilities:
- Claims Management: Prepare, submit, and track dental claims to insurance companies and third-party payers.
- Claims Resolution: Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resolve discrepancies.
- Insurance Verification: Verify patient coverage and eligibility for dental services.
- Billing Operations: Oversee charge entry, claims submission, payment posting, accounts receivable follow-up, and reimbursement management.
- Patient Communication: Explain charges, handle billing inquiries, and clarify discrepancies professionally.
Requirements: 1 - 3 years of recent US dental billing and coding experience which includes the 5 key stages of the U.S. Dental Billing cycle:
- Eligibility & Benefits Verification: Checking coverage, deductibles, annual maximums, and limitations.
- CDT Coding: Working with ADA CDT codes for procedures.
- Claims Submission:
Submitting electronic/paper claims with necessary attachments and narratives.
- EOB & Payment Posting: Reading EOBs, posting payments, and adjusting patient balances.
- Aging & Denials Management: Following up on unpaid claims and handling appeals.
Qualifications:
- Bilingual Spanish and English is required, as the role involves regular communication with patients and clients.
- Experience with outbound dental scheduling.
- Knowledge of EOBs and strong documentation skills.
- Attention to detail and proficiency in data entry.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle billing disputes.
- Nice to have: Coding certification (Preferred)
