Head of Finance | Private Equity & Real Estate Development — Remote (Mexico)

We're hiring a Head of Finance to fully own accounting, reporting, and financial operations for a growing real estate private equity platform, so the founder/CFO can step out of day-to-day finance completely, with zero oversight needed.

This is a true 50/50 role: half hands-on accounting, half financial modeling/FP&A.; We're not looking for someone who's strong in one and delegates the other, you need to be equally credible producing GAAP-compliant financials yourself and building institutional-grade models from scratch.

? You'll own:

- Accounting, hands-on: monthly close, bank & balance sheet reconciliations, 25+ entities in Intuit Enterprise Suite (scaling to 50–100+), AP/AR, payroll, tax filings, delivered with zero oversight
- Fund accounting: GP/LP consolidations, capital calls, distributions, waterfall calculations, investor reporting, direct interface with LPs and lenders
- Development accounting: job costing at the line-item level, contractor/bank draws, retainage, GC pay apps, change orders
- FP&A; & modeling: build project- and fund-level models from scratch (debt schedules, waterfalls, 3-statement linkage), underwriting (IRR, MOIC, DSCR, NPV), rolling forecasts,



variance analysis.

✅ You bring:

- CPA or verified international equivalent: required, not "in progress."
- 7–10+ years in accounting/finance , with real, hands-on general ledger and close experience (not just oversight of a team that does it)
- Private equity / fund accounting experience strongly preferred: real GP/LP, capital call, and waterfall experience, not adjacent exposure
- Real estate development experience a strong plus: genuine job costing and construction draw experience, not just corporate real estate
- Advanced Excel and demonstrated financial modeling ability: you should be able to describe a complex model you built from scratch, tab by tab
- US GAAP fluency (not primarily IFRS or local GAAP)
- Advanced QuickBooks / Intuit Enterprise Suite in a multi-entity environment
- Based in Mexico , aligned to U.S. business hours, open to occasional travel to Arizona
- True autonomy: you deliver finished work with clear assumptions, not drafts that need review, and you want to own the full function, not transition toward a more strategic/capital-markets role
