Maintenance Coordinator
Job Type: Contract worker, 40 hours per week
Reports to: Property Managers
Location: Remote
Compensation: 2,500–4,000 MXN/week, DOE — mid-level experience will land at the top of this range
Is This You?
Are you a highly motivated and organized go-getter? Are you looking for a positive company culture that celebrates wins and appreciates hard work? Are you detail oriented and organized? Do you have a checklist for your checklists? Are you looking for flexibility to work from home with a mostly-adaptable schedule? If you love following well-defined processes, facilitating results, and getting things done, this might be the position of your dreams!
Role
You'll be the hub of maintenance coordination for a well-reviewed U.S. property management company — connecting tenants, vendors, and property managers to get repairs done right and fast. This isn't a general admin role: you'll own the maintenance workflow from intake to close-out.
What you'll do
· Coordinate maintenance requests end-to-end: intake, vendor scheduling, tenant communication, close-out verification
· Review inspection reports and videos to flag lease violations and maintenance needs
· Communicate daily with tenants, vendors, clients, and team members on repair status
· Maintain accurate maintenance records and tenant/property files
· Support related operations: applicant screening info collection, showings/inspection scheduling, contract sends
· Other responsibilities as needed
What "great" looks like
· Meets SLAs on every maintenance ticket — no aging tickets without an update
· Tenants and owners feel informed, not chased
· Catches problems in inspection reports before they escalate
· Takes initiative on aging tickets before anyone has to ask
You're a strong fit if you have:
· Solid customer service experience — you know how to stay calm, clear, and firm with frustrated people
· Coordinating multiple moving parts (vendors, schedules, deadlines) without dropping the ball
· Detail-oriented, organized, and can follow (and improve) a defined process
Nice to have (not required — we'll train):
· Familiarity with household systems: HVAC, plumbing, electrical basics, general handyman repairs
· Prior maintenance, property management, or trades-adjacent experience
Requirements
· Live in Mexico
· Fluent English, clear pronunciation
· Reliable, professional phone/email communication
· Proficient with basic computer/web/phone systems
· Able to work independently after initial training
· Team player, positive attitude, adheres to deadlines
