? HIRING: Network Security Engineer (Firewall Compliance & Audit) ?

At Cognisap , we're looking for a Network Security Engineer to join an international project.

⚠️ Note: This is NOT a standard firewall operations/support role. We need someone to take full ownership of firewall configurations, audit rule sets, ensure strict compliance, and drive risk remediation across teams.

? Key Responsibilities:

- Audit firewall configurations, rule sets, VPNs, and network architecture.
- Detect configuration drift, security risks, and follow up with teams to execute remediation.
- Harden firewalls, switches, and routers; document security parameters.
- Support vulnerability management, threat analysis, and GRC compliance audits.
- Integrate security automation and AI-driven review processes.

?️ Must-Haves:

- Strong hands-on experience with Palo Alto, Check Point, or Cisco ASA & VPNs.
- Direct experience in rule set auditing, configuration drift, and policy compliance .
- Solid background in routing, switching,



and core network infrastructure.
- Experience in vulnerability management and risk remediation.
- C1/C2 Fluent English (daily work with U.S. teams).
- Location: Based in Mexico (100% Remote).
- Alignment with U.S. EST business hours .

⭐ Nice-to-Haves:

- Banking / Financial sector experience.
- Policy audit tools: Tufin, AlgoSec, Indeni, Splunk .
- Automation: Python, Ansible, or REST APIs .
- Frameworks: NIST, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, CIS Benchmarks .
