Core area
- Analyze weekly demand fluctuations, customer orders, forecast changes, and business trends across all assigned accounts to support the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process, providing accurate recommendations to senior leadership and ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer requirements.
- Maintain forecast accuracy by updating demand signals and planning parameters within the ERP system, ensuring data integrity, compliance with customer frozen windows, and elimination of duplicate demand entries.
- Lead demand management activities and collaborate closely with Customer Service Representatives (CSR), Program Managers, and Operations teams to validate customer delivery commitments and ensure compliance with agreed lead times and service levels.
- Coordinate with Purchasing, Supply Chain, and APU teams to proactively identify and address raw material constraints, mitigating supply risks and ensuring uninterrupted fulfillment of customer demand.
- Perform capacity planning and demand balancing analysis to align production requirements with available labor, equipment, and manufacturing resources, supporting optimal utilization of plant capacity.
- Develop, maintain, and communicate weekly and daily production schedules based on customer demand, inventory levels, material availability, and operational priorities, ensuring timely release and execution of manufacturing orders.
- Monitor production plan execution, schedule adherence, material shortages, capacity constraints, and productivity performance, escalating potential risks that could impact customer deliveries, sales performance, or operational targets.
- Ensure compliance with customer-specific inventory programs and contractual agreements, including Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI), Safety Stock, Kanban systems, Consignment Inventory, Raw Material Stock Agreements, and other replenishment strategies.
- Analyze inventory levels and planning parameters to optimize inventory investment while maintaining target service levels and minimizing excess, obsolete, or slow-moving inventory.
- Drive risk identification and mitigation activities through forecast analysis, scenario planning, and cross-functional collaboration,
implementing preventive actions to avoid supply chain disruptions and production interruptions.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI), engineering changes, product transfers, and phase-in/phase-out activities by ensuring planning readiness, material availability, and production capacity alignment.
- Maintain planning master data accuracy, including BOMs, lead times, planning parameters, routings, and inventory settings, ensuring reliable system outputs for production and supply planning.
- Monitor ERP system performance and planning data integrity on a daily basis, identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving issues that could negatively impact production schedules, inventory management, or customer order fulfillment.
- Generate and communicate key planning metrics, including forecast accuracy, schedule attainment, inventory performance, backlog status, customer service levels, and capacity utilization, supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Logistics, and Procurement teams to improve planning processes, enhance operational efficiency, and support the achievement of customer satisfaction, on-time delivery, and business performance objectives.
Experience and Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Experience using ERP systems such as Epicor and BPCS (AS400).
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position, preferably within manufacturing, demand planning, supply chain, or customer service environments.
