Responsabilidades:About the roleThis position has the responsibility of: process of monitoring, importing and delivering raw materials, finishedproducts and samples for the production and improvement of our products at the Monterrey plant, LATAM and Ceramic ́s Plants.The solution of problems in the logistics chain and the support to the different departments for the fulfillment of deliveries of materials for the production lines.Coordination and execution of specific instructions of importation with Forwarders and Brokers about components, raw materials, and finished goods required by Planners.Define the Transportation method most recommendable in each requirement.Leads a team of professional technical and/or support employees.
Responsible for pay decisions, performancemanagement.Primary Duties & ResponsabilitiesTeam Leadership; Operations Oversight:●Workload; Territory Allocation: Structure daily task assignments across thethree direct reports based on geographic regions (Monterrey, Aguascalientes,Santa Clara, Tlaxcala), transport modes, or supplier origins.
●Performance; KPI Management: Establish and monitor team performancemetrics, including customs clearance turnaround times, transit report accuracy,and carrier on-time in-full (OTIF) delivery performance.
●Escalation Management: Act as the primary point of escalation for criticalshipment delays, carrier line-outages, or urgent raw material risks threateningproduction lines.
●Budget; Cost Management: Oversee operational spending, establish costcontainment strategies, and drive budget KPI creation and execution tooptimize overall logistics expenditure.Freight Operations & Multi-Modal Execution● Multi-Modal Flow Oversight: Direct the team's daily monitoring of inboundocean containers, rail hopper cars, air freight expedites, and domestic Mexicotrucking to keep manufacturing lines supplied.
● Carrier Management: Oversee forwarder spot rate quotes, evaluate freightsupplier performance, and manage emergency transport authorizations (e.G.,air charters, ground expedited).
● Carrier Pricing & Rate Negotiations: Lead freight rate negotiations, securecompetitive spot pricing, and optimize lane-by-lane transport structures tominimize freight spending.
●Contract Management: Manage vendor and carrier contracts, ensuringcompliance with agreed terms,



service level agreements (SLAs), and pricingstructures.
● Express Account Management: Manage small package moves, enforcingproper usage policies for corporate accounts (such as UPS) with Internationalvendors.Cross-Border; Trade Facilitation● Paperwork Synchronization: Supervise team coordination between buyers,US/Mexico planners, and customs brokers to ensure complete documentation(commercial invoices, POs, certifications) before cargo hits the border.
● Customs Issue Resolution: Drive rapid-response actions when shipmentsencounter operational holds at border crossings or ports, serving as the liaisonbetween operations, brokers, and internal Trade Compliance (covering entrytypes like A1, AF, IN).
● Delay Tracking & Approvals: Standardize team procedures for logging,reporting, and securing formal approvals for transit and delivery delays.C-TPAT Admin & Financial Controls● Security & Portal Maintenance: Direct the team in collecting, tracking, anduploading freight vendor certifications (C-TPAT, CAAT, SVI, SCAC) into theCBP portal per corporate trade compliance guidelines.
● Financial Approvals: Review and approve daily payment orders for customsexpenses, broker fees, and freight invoices prior to submitting billing reports toComptrollers.
● Record Integrity: Ensure the team maintains audit-ready digital archives oftransit logs, broker bills, and customs clearanceMulti-Plant & Regional Stakeholder Alignment● Plant Operational Touchpoints: Lead daily review cadence with Buyers and Planners across the Monterrey, Aguascalientes, Santa Clara, and Tlaxcalaplants, plus the Ryder DC, to realign priorities for urgent shipments.
● LATAM Export Support: Direct team execution for outbound shipments andexport documentation destined for direct LATAM clients.

Maintain standardized daily and weekly transitreports for local plant managers and business unit leadersRequisitios:Education:●Bachelor's degree in Logisticor similarExperience:●5+ years of hands-onexperience in internationallogistics overseeing oceanfreight, air cargo, anddomestic Mexicotransportation.
●2+ years of direct peoplemanagement or teamleadership experiencesupervising operationalstaff.
●Proven backgroundcoordinating cross-borderUS–Mexico freight,interacting with customsbrokers, and resolving entryholds (A1, IN, AF entries).
Knowledge:●In-depth mastery of Incoterms,freight rate structures, bill of lading(BOL) procedures, and multi-modaltransit flows.
●Operational knowledge of securitycertifications and portal requirements(C-TPAT, CAAT, SVI, SCAC).
●Practical understanding ofIMMEX/temporary import workflowsand cross-border paperwork(commercial invoices, certificates oforigin, packing lists).
Skills and Abilities:● Enterprise ERP proficiency (SAPMM/WM preferred) and advancedspreadsheet skills (MS Excel / GoogleSheets).
