A Day in Your Life at MKS:As an Indirect/MRO buyer at MKS, you will partner with Internal customers (ex. Program Manager, Engineering, Corporate, NPI team, etc.) to create Purchase Orders according business needs.
In this role, you will report to the Procurement Supervisor.You Will Make an Impact ByResponsible for obtaining materials, components and equipmentGathers quotations, examines bids, and makes awardsDetermines material requirements form engineering and production schedules, and maintains inventory at planned levelsPlans, schedules and monitors for the movement of materials through the production cycleEvaluates vendor reliability, develops new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are inadequateSkills You BringBachelor's degree or equivalent experience and good writing and oral communication skillsCPIM and/or APICS certification preferred3+ years of related experienceMust be able to exchange accurate informationThe ability to observe documents and details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)Operates in a professional office and/or manufacturing environmentConstantly operates a computer and other office productivity machineryNoise level in the work environment is usually average.
