Position Overview
dormakaba is seeking a Integral Category Manager – Installers & Engineering Services / Technical Consultants based in Nogales, Sonora.
This role will report directly to the DVP Global Indirect Procurement.
The Global Category Manager – Installers & Engineering Services / Technical Consultants is responsible for developing and implementing the global sourcing and category strategies for the Installers and Engineering Services & Technical Consultants categories.
What you will do
Develop and lead global category strategies
for Installers and Engineering Services & Technical Consultants, translating business requirements into sourcing strategies, supplier roadmaps, governance frameworks, and operating models.
Drive global strategy execution and strategic sourcing
across EMEA, AMER, and APAC, coordinating Regional Procurement teams and leading supplier selection, RFx processes, negotiations, contracting, and renewals.
Manage strategic global suppliers and optimize the supplier portfolio
, including executive relationships, performance management, business reviews, supplier rationalization, consolidation, and continuous improvement.
Deliver sustainable business value
through cost savings, payment-term improvements, commercial and contractual optimization, operational efficiencies, supplier innovation, and increased global spend transparency.
Strengthen procurement governance and category excellence
by establishing global standards, SLAs, commercial frameworks, compliance requirements, market intelligence,



and strong stakeholder partnerships while supporting Procurement transformation.
What we require
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 8 years of Procurement or Category Management experience within a global, international organization.
Proven experience developing and implementing global category strategies, preferably in the assigned Categories Installers & Engineering Services.
Strong experience leading complex strategic sourcing initiatives and high-value commercial negotiations.
Demonstrated success managing strategic supplier relationships and executive stakeholder engagement.
Experience working within global matrix organizations and coordinating cross-regional initiatives.
Experience in supplier governance, contract management, and Procurement transformation initiatives is highly desirable.
Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate business needs into Procurement strategies.
Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills across all organizational levels.
Strong coordination skills within a matrix organization.
Excellent project management and implementation capabilities.

Strong communication and relationship-building capabilities.
High business acumen with a strong value creation mindset.
Ability to manage multiple global initiatives simultaneously.Results-oriented, proactive, and capable of driving change in an international environment.
Fluent in English & German (written and spoken); additional languages are an advantage.
