Role Overview The Solution Architect is a senior technical leader within Chubb's Global Architecture team. This individual translates complex business and insurance-domain requirements into scalable, secure, and resilient technology solutions — spanning security, infrastructure, data, integration, and application layers across Chubb's worldwide operations.
Working across Latin America and globally, the Solution Architect partners with C-suite leaders, engineering teams, and business stakeholders to ensure technology decisions align with enterprise standards, regulatory requirements, and long-term strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture Design & Governance
Define and own solution blueprints for large-scale enterprise programs. Conduct architecture reviews, enforce standards, and ensure designs comply with Chubb's security and regulatory requirements (GDPR, SOX, local insurance mandates). Produce clear Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) and present to governance boards.
Cloud & Infrastructure Strategy
Drive Chubb's cloud agenda across AWS, Azure, and hybrid environments. Define cloud landing zone patterns, FinOps guardrails, and infrastructure-as-code standards using Terraform and Kubernetes.
Integration & API Design
Architect event-driven and API-first integration patterns using Kafka, MuleSoft, and REST/GraphQL APIs. Ensure seamless connectivity between core insurance systems (Policy, Claims, Billing) and modern digital channels.
Data & Analytics Architecture
Partner with Data Engineering and Analytics teams to design data lake, data mesh, and real-time streaming architectures that enable advanced analytics and AI/ML capabilities.
Security & Resilience
Embed security by design: zero-trust networking, identity & access management, encryption standards, and disaster-recovery / business-continuity architecture patterns.
Stakeholder Engagement
Communicate complex architectural concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Influence and engage at VP/SVP/C-level. Mentor junior architects and senior engineers.
