Excellent Flow provides electronic health record and billing solutions for medical clinics across the United States. We're growing our technical team and looking for a mid-level software programmer who's comfortable working across both application development and the infrastructure that supports it.

Job Summary

We're looking for a Software Programmer with solid networking and server knowledge to help build, maintain, and troubleshoot the systems behind our healthcare software. This role isn't just writing code — you'll also work with servers, networking configurations, and system infrastructure to keep everything running reliably and securely. This is a fully remote position.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and internal tools
- Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot servers and network infrastructure supporting our systems
- Diagnose and resolve connectivity, performance, and security issues across networks and servers
- Collaborate with the team on system architecture decisions, balancing application needs with infrastructure constraints
- Write clean, maintainable code and document technical processes clearly
- Support integrations between software systems, databases, and network environments




- Assist with system security best practices, including access control and data protection given our work with healthcare data

Qualifications

- 3+ years of professional software development experience
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls)
- Experience administering or troubleshooting servers (Windows Server and/or Linux)
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, C#, Java, or similar)
- Familiarity with databases (SQL required; experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is a plus)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (equivalent hands-on experience will be considered)

Skills

- Strong problem-solving skills, especially diagnosing issues that span both code and infrastructure
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision
- Clear written communication for a distributed team
- Experience with healthcare software, HIPAA-related data handling, or EHR/billing systems is a plus, but not required

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $14,000.00 - $21,000.00 per month
