What you’ll do:
Primary Function:
Responsible for the migration, update, and control of technical documentation for products and processes, ensuring the accurate transfer of engineering drawings received from external suppliers into corporate formats and standards. Responsible for reviewing, updating, and documenting critical characteristics, dimensions, engineering notes, and revision levels, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and traceability of technical information throughout project execution.
Essential Functions:
- Migrate product and component engineering drawings from external supplier formats into established corporate formats and standards.
- Review and validate technical information contained in mechanical drawings, assemblies, and related documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity.
- Update engineering drawings, including dimensions, geometric tolerances, manufacturing notes, and special requirements, as needed.
- Identify, verify, and document critical product and process characteristics in accordance with internal and customer requirements.
- Manage drawing and technical document revision control, ensuring full traceability of all changes.
- Coordinate with Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and external suppliers to resolve technical discrepancies identified during document migration activities.
- Ensure all transferred documentation complies with corporate drawing standards, nomenclature, coding practices, and document control requirements.
- Generate project status reports and migration records, identifying risks, deviations, and corrective follow-up actions.
- Support the release, update, and maintenance of technical documentation within applicable document management systems.
- Participate in technical product reviews to ensure the correct definition of dimensional requirements, specifications, and acceptance criteria.
