The Controls COE is focused on delivering innovative and robust designs for equipment and system control. We support the design, development, test, troubleshooting, and maintenance of the controls within the system, offering the controls engineer experience in everything from conceptual design to lab testing and field trial support. Lead small teams of globally distributed engineers to develop production‐ready controls solutions ensuring customer and technical requirements are satisfied,



and standard procedures are followed.
Support project management with the definition of suitable plans for development and verification, conduct stakeholder technical reviews.
Perform dynamic analysis of non‐linear systems in development of control algorithms including system identification, controllability, robustness, stability, and optimization.
Work with system engineers to develop requirements and subsequently ensure controls requirements are satisfied and verified.
Drive decisions on control architecture solutions including allocation of controls functions both within and across physical modules (e.g. PLC, UI modules, connectivity/IoT modules).
Recommend updates to equipment design efforts based on control objectives versus system performance capability.
Support the development and calibration of physics‐based plant models.
Develop & execute unit-tests & integration tests for control systems.
