Main Missions
- Is responsible with his team for timely supply with raw materials, purchased parts and transport & logistic services at competitive cost and specified quality
- Supervises the development of regional commodity strategies and the implementation of integral commodity strategies in the region to create competitive advantage
- Drives purchasing budget and savings process in the region
- Is responsible for compliance with OP purchasing procedures and all other relevant compliance rules within his perimeter
- Fosters innovation in his perimeter (e.g. introduction of new purchasing tools, making innovations from the supply base accessible for OP)
- Drives for his perimeter the implementation of supply chain decarbonization targets in line with OP carbon roadmap





Responsibilities
- Supplier Negotiations and Escalations
- Coaches his team in the preparation and execution of negotiations and escalations with suppliers
- Conducts supplier negotiations and manages the escalation process with suppliers personally when necessary
- Commodity Strategy and Supplier Panel Management
- Regularly reviews commodity strategies with Commodity Buyers to ensure that they meet the needs of the business
- Leads the sourcing committee for regional commodities to ensure that supplier nominations are in line with commodity strategies
- Approves new suppliers according to the supplier panel criteria of OP, commodity strategies and business needs
- Purchasing Budget and Savings Process / Squeeze Management
- Collaborates with Purchasing Controlling, regional Purchasing Director, Division Purchasing VP and Business Unit Management to develop the purchasing budget
