Responsibilities
- Perform periodic reconciliations between physical inventories, operational records, and accounting records.
- Analyze inventory variances, physical count discrepancies, and accounting adjustments.
- Record and validate inventory movements in ERP systems and accounting modules.
- Execute monthly closing processes related to inventory and cost of goods sold.
- Prepare and record inventory provisions, reclassifications, and adjustments.
- Monitor and analyze obsolescence, shrinkage, waste, and slow-moving inventory.
- Prepare financial and operational reports related to inventory.
- Participate in cycle counts and annual physical inventories.
- Investigate and document discrepancies detected during physical counts.
- Ensure compliance with corporate internal control policies.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required information and documentation.
- Collaborate with Operations, Planning, Purchasing, Logistics, and Warehouse departments to ensure the integrity of inventory data.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in inventory control and management processes.
- Handling internal and external audit.
Qualifications
- FORMAL EDUCATION:
- Required: Bachelor Degree Finance, Accountant
- KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
- 5 years or more of experience in inventory accounting, cost accounting, or financial analysis.
- Experience with accounting reconciliations and inventory control.
- Experience in manufacturing, retail, or distribution companies is desirable.
