This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Compute Engineer (Go + Kube) based in Mexico.

This is a senior engineering role focused on building and operating highly reliable compute and cloud-native systems.
You will work extensively with Go, Kubernetes, containers, Linux, and distributed application environments.
The role combines software development with deep troubleshooting, debugging, performance analysis, and infrastructure expertise.
You will contribute to large codebases, APIs, microservices, testing frameworks, and resource management capabilities.
The position offers exposure to complex technology challenges and high-impact projects in a globally distributed environment.
Strong ownership, technical judgment, collaboration, and problem-solving are essential to succeeding in the role.
The position is fully remote, with working hours aligned to 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Pacific Time.

Accountabilities

Design, develop, refactor, and maintain large-scale Go codebases,



demonstrating strong knowledge of the language and its internals.

Read and understand extensive existing Go codebases and develop high-quality patches and enhancements.

Build comprehensive automated tests using the Go standard library, Ginkgo, and Gomega, applying Test Driven Development practices where appropriate.

Troubleshoot applications through log analysis, profiling, debugging, and performance investigation.

Design, deploy, scale, and maintain applications running on Kubernetes platforms, with a strong understanding of Kubernetes internals and resource quotas.

Work extensively with container technologies, including Docker, and Linux-based systems, particularly control groups and resource management.

Develop API services and microservices in Go using solid web and HTTP development practices.

Work with PostgreSQL and contribute to database development, monitoring, and performance-relate
