Job Summary:

General Motors de Mexico is seeking a highly motivated Environmental Intern to support our environmental team in Mexico. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience in environmental management within a large automotive manufacturing setting, contributing to sustainable operations and compliance initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

- Assist with the collection, analysis, and reporting of environmental data (e.g., water usage, waste generation, emissions).
- Support the implementation and monitoring of environmental management systems (e.g., ISO 14001).
- Participate in environmental inspections and audits, identifying potential areas for improvement.
- Help research and stay updated on relevant environmental regulations and best practices in Mexico.
- Assist in the development and delivery of environmental awareness training materials for employees.
- Support the preparation of environmental reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.




- Collaborate with various departments to integrate environmental considerations into daily operations.
- Perform other environmental-related tasks as assigned by the environmental team.

Job Qualifications

- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong academic record.
- Basic understanding of environmental regulations and principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace applications (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Fluency in Spanish and English (written and spoken) is required.
- Prior internship experience in an environmental role is a plus.
