Position Summary
The U.S. Sales Tax Specialist and Administrative Support is responsible for managing and supporting all aspects of U.S. sales and tax compliance across multiple states and jurisdictions and for providing administrative support to the Legal Department and Product Development team. This role ensures that the company accurately calculates, collects, reports, and remits sales and use taxes in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local requirements.
The successful candidate will monitor changes in U.S. sales tax legislation, assess sales tax obligations and nexus requirements, support tax audits, assist the Legal Department and Product Development team with administrative filings and related matters, and work closely with the Head of Tax, Finance, Accounting, Legal, Operations, and external tax advisors.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Business, or a related field.
- 3–5+ years of experience in U.S. sales and use tax, preferably in a multi-state environment.

Duties and Responsibilities




- Manage U.S. sales and use tax compliance across multiple states and local jurisdictions.
- Prepare, review, and file periodic sales and use tax returns accurately and on a timely basis.
- Calculate and reconcile sales tax liabilities, payments, and tax accounts.
- Monitor physical and economic nexus requirements and determine state registration obligations.
- Maintain accurate sales tax registrations, permits, exemption certificates, and related documentation.
- Research and interpret state and local sales tax laws, regulations, and administrative guidance.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory changes affecting U.S. sales and use tax.
- Review sales transactions to ensure the appropriate sales tax treatment is applied based on customer location, product/service type, and applicable exemptions.
