In this position...
As an In-Vehicle Software Validation & Quality Engineer, you will ensure that the software powering next-generation connected vehicles meets rigorous quality, security, and functional standards prior to deployment. Operating within an Agile framework, you will validate supplier software packages, test electronic control unit (ECU) applications,
and develop automation tools that safeguard seamless over-the-air and factory software releases across global vehicle programs.
Responsibilities
What you'll do...
• Validate supplier-delivered embedded software binaries, verifying format compliance, payload integrity, and feature readiness for global vehicle deployment pipelines.
• Design, review, and execute structured test cases and user stories based on industry standards (ISTQB) and functional requirements to ensure ECU module software reliability.
• Isolate, log, and track software defects to resolution using Jira Cloud, collaborating closely with development engineers to troubleshoot root causes.
• Utilize hardware and data acquisition instrumentation (such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and bus loggers) to capture real-time vehicle signal traces and diagnose system anomalies.
• Develop internal automation scripts and productivity tools (primarily in Python) to
