Job Description
The Credit Specialist supports accounts receivable and collection activities by monitoring outstanding customer balances, following up on overdue invoices, and assisting with payment issue resolution. This role maintains accurate financial records, generates reports, responds to customer inquiries, and collaborates with internal teams to ensure timely collections. Success in this position requires strong analytical and communication skills,



attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple systems and priorities.
Your responsibilities
- Responsible for collections and reconciling accounts on month basis
- Reconcile customer accounts to identify disputes, overpayments, create journal entries and oversee offsetting of credits and debits
- Provide overall customer service to assigned accounts in matters concerning their accounts receivable balance and dispute resolution
- Communicate with product sales departments, branch plants, field sales, and service personnel to resolve customer disputes
- Decision‑making skills involving payment arrangements on disputed items or write-offs
- Classify past due accounts for monthly reporting to management
- Make recommendations to management on accounts or items that are potentially uncollectible
- Verify Bad debt reserve file
