- The Senior Cybersecurity Operations Specialist is responsible for monitoring, detecting, investigating, and responding to cybersecurity threats across the organization's IT environment. This role supports the Security Operations by analyzing security events, managing incidents, maintaining security tools, and helping protect critical systems, networks, and data from cyber threats.

Role & Responsabilities
- Implement, and tune advanced security controls (Firewalls, SIEM, IAM, EDR).
- Conduct security architecture reviews, threat modeling, and deep vulnerability assessments for new projects.
- Lead incident response for data breaches and corporate network compromises.




- Provide mentorship to junior engineers & Trainees/Interns
- Consult cross-functionally with development and IT teams on secure coding and infrastructure practices.
- Makes independent technical decisions regarding system configurations, tool deployments, and immediate risk mitigations.
- Acts as a Directly Responsible Individual (DRI) for specific security domains or implementations.
- Has the operational authority to isolate compromised IT systems, block malicious traffic, or halt unsafe deployments to protect the environment. enforce access revocation.
- Architect and manage the Industrial Demilitarized Zone (IDMZ) at Purdue Level 3.5.
- Deploy and benchmark edge firewalls specifically for industrial protocol inspection.
- Map operational threats using the MITRE ATT&CK; for IC S framework.
- Execute non-disruptive, highly controlled vulnerability assessments during scheduled plant downtimes.
