* Assures optimum inventory/kanban levels and on-time deliveries to meet customer requirements while minimizing carrying costs and transportation charges.* Materials planning for release and/or ordering of materials and supplies to achieve on-time deliveries at the optimum inventory investment. Investigates and solves problems resulting from material shortages.* Follows materials practices, contracts, assessments, and policies to ensure honest, fair, and ethical relationships with our suppliers.* Implements policies/procedures/processes that ensure the accurate processing of inventory and production transactions. Includes responsibility for the kanban process for material delivery.* Manages assigned commodities for inventory/data integrity, cycle counts, obsolete/excess inventory, returned material, engineering change notice/new product launch material planning, and supplier performance evaluation.* Prepares and issues all necessary reports and/or correspondence.* Fully support NPD stage gate process under the direction of the Commodity Manager.* Perform other duties
