Responsibilities
• Schedule daily work orders for manual machining, CNC machining, wire EDM, grinding, heat‑treating, and die mounting, prioritizing projects accordingly.
• Manage the sourcing and procurement of specialty tool steels, raw materials, and standard components (bolts, bushings, springs) in collaboration with the purchasing department.
• Monitor and record workshop productivity, machine downtime, and tool‑tracking metrics to identify operational bottlenecks.
• Support die testing and first‑piece inspections by organizing programming slots in the production plant, thereby minimizing disruptions to the manufacturing flow.
• Maintain historical documentation of tools, change‑over records, and preventive maintenance logs to comply with regulations and facilitate continuous‑improvement audits.
Qualifications
Education:
• This position requires, at a minimum, an engineering degree or equivalent experience.
Skills and Abilities:
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals,
professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations.
• Ability to draft reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals.
• Ability to present information effectively and respond to questions from management teams and clients.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, as well as fundamentals of plane and spatial geometry and trigonometry.
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Ability to solve practical problems and manage various concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.
• Ability to interpret diverse instructions presented in writing, orally, via diagrams, or in schedules.
Experience:
• This position requires a minimum of 2 years of related experience.
