Descripción del trabajo - Purchasing Manager
- Lead the day-to-day operation and continued development of the company's procure-to-pay environment. Oversee purchasing activities and negotiate contracts to ensure a cost-effective and efficient procurement process.
- Establish relationships with vendors and develop purchasing strategies to acquire goods and services while adhering to budget constraints. Create standards and protocols for the company’s purchasing processes. And continuously evaluate and improve procurement practices, including identifying cost-saving opportunities and process enhancements.
- Lead, coach, and mentor a team of Procurement buyers and analysts, which includes establishing clear roles, service levels, work queues, escalation paths, and performance expectations.
- Build a customer-oriented service culture focused on responsiveness, accuracy, control, and continuous improvement.
- Identifying, evaluating, and selecting suppliers based on quality, reliability,



cost-effectiveness, and adherence to ethical and sustainability standards.
- Oversee procurement intake, requisition and purchase-order support, catalogs, supplier onboarding, vendor master-data coordination, reporting, compliance, and issue resolution.
- Partner with Category Management to move Procurement from a transaction-focused function to a strategic, data-driven organization.
- Negotiating contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure favorable pricing, payment terms, and mutually beneficial agreements.
- Analyze price proposals, financial reports, and other information to determine a reasonable price.
- Conduct market research and analyze industry trends to support procurement decisions.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and align procurement activities with organizational goals.
