Job Title: General Ledger Accountant Location: Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico
Reports To: Finance Manager

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced General Ledger Accountant to join our Finance team in Monterrey, Mexico. The adecuado candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, leading month-end closing activities, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. The successful candidate should have solid manufacturing accounting experience and be able to communicate effectively in English within an international business environment.

Key Responsibilities
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Prepare journal entries, accruals, amortization, reclassifications, and other month-end closing entries.
Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve outstanding discrepancies.
Reconcile fixed assets, inventory, payroll, and intercompany transactions.




Prepare financial statements and management reports.
Support external audits, internal audits, tax compliance, and internal control activities.
Maintain accurate accounting documentation and financial records.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accounting accuracy and compliance.
Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education
~ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Professional Experience
Approximately 6 years of General Ledger accounting experience.
Manufacturing industry experience is required.
Strong experience with month-end closing, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and journal entries.
Skills
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial statement preparation.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Plex, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
