Who We're Looking For

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Accounting Manager to play a key leadership role within its Finance organization. Reporting to the CFO, this individual will oversee the month-end close process and financial reporting for one of the company's operating divisions while leading an international accounting team and partnering with an outsourced accounting provider.

Responsibilities

- Manage month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes with accuracy and timeliness
- Preparation and review of GAAP financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Develop and maintain internal reporting packages for management leadership.
- Support the annual audit process and serve as primary preparer of audit schedules
- Oversee AP, AR, payroll, general ledger, and fixed assets
- Design, implement, and maintain and enforce internal controls
- Maintain and enhance the chart of accounts and accounting policies.
- Lead the implementation and optimization of accounting and close automation tools.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis in partnership with the CFO
- Assist with treasury coordination
- Coordinate federal, state, and local tax compliance with external tax advisors.
- Supervise,



mentor and develop a team of accounting internation staff (2–5 direct reports)
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and professional growth.
- Recruit and onboard accounting talent as the organization evolves.

Qualifications

- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup environment and building out systems, tools, and processes
- Experience in the QSR, retail, or hospitality industries, particularly with multi-unit operations preferred
- Experience in implementing scalable accounting processes and systems
- Strong leadership and team-building skills to foster a cohesive and united team environment, ensuring effective collaboration and supporting each team member's success
- Experience managing the close process for a multiple location business.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems, ERP systems, back-office platforms, and integrating accounting systems for multi-location operations
- Track record of successful implementation of financial systems and implementing compliant processes
- Experience with Sage Intacct and automated accounts payable platforms preferred
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with financial reporting, close management and reconciliation tools preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or similar field of study preferred
- 6+ plus years in accounting, with 2+ years in a supervisory or senior accounting role, in a combination of corporate accounting and/or an external auditing firm
- Experience with a big four accounting firm preferred
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred
