We’re hiring an AWS Data Engineer with 3–5 years of experience to build and operate an on-premises to AWS S3 migration platform.

Key Responsibilities

- Build migration workflows using Step Functions, Lambda, Fargate, AWS Batch, SQS, DynamoDB, and rclone.
- Automate validation, data migration, reconciliation, and cutover processes.
- Manage S3/S3-compatible storage, large-scale transfers, checksums, versioning, and lifecycle policies.
- Implement monitoring and reporting using CloudWatch, Jira, and dashboards.
- Work with Cloud, Storage, and Networking teams on enterprise migrations.

Required Skills

- Strong Python (boto3), Bash/Shell scripting.
- Hands-on AWS S3, Lambda, Step Functions, SQS, DynamoDB, ECS Fargate, AWS Batch.
- Experience with rclone and high-volume data migration.
- Knowledge of IAM, STS, KMS, Secrets Manager, Kerberos.
- Understanding of VPC, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, S3 Gateway Endpoints.
- Experience with GitLab CI/CD and CloudWatch.
- Familiarity with GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini, or Claude.
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in CS, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
