Role Description The Contador role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Mexico City Metropolitan Area. This role is responsible for managing daily accounting activities, including recording transactions, reconciling accounts, preparing financial statements, and monitoring cash flow. The Contador will oversee tax calculations and filings, ensure compliance with Mexican accounting standards and regulations, and support external audits by maintaining accurate, organized documentation.

The role also includes preparing reports for management, analyzing financial data to support decision-making, and collaborating with operations and logistics teams to align financial records with sourcing, import,



export, storage, and distribution processes.

Qualifications

- Strong technical accounting skills, including general ledger management, account reconciliation, and financial statement preparation.
- Knowledge of Mexican tax legislation, compliance requirements, and experience with tax declarations and regulatory reporting.
- Proficiency with accounting software and office tools (e.g., ERP systems, Excel, and other financial reporting tools).
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities to interpret financial data and provide clear, actionable insights.
- Attention to detail, accuracy in documentation, and strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across finance, operations, and logistics teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., Contador Público) is an advantage.
- Experience in logistics, import/export, or supply chain environments is beneficial.
- Integrity, commitment to ethical standards, and a proactive approach to improving financial processes.
