Staff Electrical Engineer – Form Energy (PCBA Design) Overview

Form Energy is looking for a Staff Electrical Engineer to lead the full lifecycle design of PCBAs (Printed Circuit Board Assemblies) that support their battery management and energy storage systems. This is a hands-on hardware design role focused on taking products from concept through design, validation, manufacturing, and long-term support.

Key Responsibilities

~ Own end-to-end PCBA development , including:

~ Requirements definition

~ Component selection

~ Schematic capture

~ PCB layout oversight

~ Design release and manufacturing support

~ Board bring-up and verification

~ Sustaining engineering

~ Design PCBAs for high-power, high-voltage, and safety-critical applications .

~ Develop:

~ DFMEA/CFMEA

~ Electrical block diagrams

~ Simulations and analyses

~ Test plans

~8D root cause investigations

~ Work closely with:

~ Systems Engineers

~ Mechanical Engineers

~ Firmware/Software Engineers

~ Test & Validation Teams

~ Troubleshoot and improve released hardware designs.

~ Create technical documentation including architecture, test results, root-cause analyses, and design decisions.

Background

Hardware Design

Strong PCBA design experience using Altium (or similar ECAD software).

Experience taking boards through the complete development cycle.
