Process Control Manager
Location: Mexico or Colombia (Remote/Hybrid based on business needs)
Travel Requirement: Frequent domestic and international travel (up to 50%) to support manufacturing facilities and project implementations across the region and globally.

We are looking for an experienced Process Control Manager to lead process automation, digitalization, and advanced control initiatives across our manufacturing operations.
This global role will be responsible for driving automation strategies, improving operational performance, and implementing cutting-edge technologies that increase efficiency, reliability, safety, and business performance. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, IT/OT, and senior leadership teams to deliver impactful solutions across multiple manufacturing sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the global process control and automation strategy.
- Identify, evaluate, and implement opportunities for process optimization and digital transformation.
- Lead automation initiatives focused on improving plant performance, reliability, productivity, and operational excellence.
- Drive the adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies, IIoT solutions, advanced analytics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and digital manufacturing platforms.
- Support the implementation and optimization of Distributed Control Systems (DCS), PLCs, SCADA systems, industrial historians, and related technologies.
- Establish and maintain standards for process automation, control architecture, alarm management, and data quality.
- Collaborate with plant teams to identify process improvement opportunities and develop sustainable solutions.
- Partner with Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, and IT/OT teams to ensure successful deployment of automation and digital initiatives.
- Support capital projects and modernization efforts involving process control systems and manufacturing technologies.
- Analyze operational data and leverage advanced analytics to improve decision-making and business performance.
- Manage relationships with technology vendors, system integrators, and external consultants.
- Promote continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across manufacturing sites.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Process Control, Automation, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
- Master's Degree in a relevant field is considered a plus.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial automation, process control, or manufacturing technology environments.
- Strong experience within the chemical, petrochemical, manufacturing, industrial processing, or related industries.
- Proven experience leading automation and digital transformation initiatives.
- Demonstrated success implementing process control solutions that improve operational performance.
- Experience working in multinational and multi-site manufacturing environments is preferred.
Technical Expertise The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of:
- Distributed Control Systems (DCS)
- Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)
- SCADA and HMI platforms
- Industrial communication protocols (OPC, Modbus, Ethernet/IP, etc.)
- Process instrumentation and control systems
- Industrial data historians and manufacturing information systems
- Advanced Process Control (APC)
- Industry 4.0 and Smart Manufacturing technologies
- IIoT solutions and digital connectivity platforms
- Data analytics, AI/ML applications, and manufacturing intelligence tools
- Automation architecture and systems integration
Language Requirements
- Fluent English is required.
- Spanish is highly preferred.
