Your Role: Own the Challenge In this role, you will have the opportunity to ensure the implementation, maintenance, and compliance of the purchasing and logistics-related activities in the Procurement function to support the businesses. Each day, you will execute assigned activities as per ABB standard procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by delivering and participating in training programs as required to ensure compliance and to foster professional development.

The work model for the role is: On site

General relocation/LTA support will not be considered for this position.

This role is contributing to the ELSP (Smart Power) Business at our site in Monterrey 3.0, Mexico.

Key Responsibilities

- Executing purchasing and logistics strategies to support the business by optimizing costs, quality, and reliability of suppliers and supplied products.
- Designing and implementing plans and effective strategies for local sourcing of products/materials to reach business targets.
- Supporting in implementing effective local sourcing strategies in line with business strategy to meet current and future business requirements.




- Applying and implementing procurement standards, tools, and processes in your area of responsibility to secure quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree completed.
- 3-5 years of experience negotiating electromechanical equipment and components.
- Experience managing both national and international suppliers.
- Experience with RFQs (Request for Quotations).
- Strong negotiation, contract management, and cost analysis skills, with the ability to interpret and analyze data.
- Experience in supplier development and evaluation.
- Participation in cost-reduction and savings projects.
- Advanced English proficiency.
- Experience using SAP, MS Office, and Power BI is preferred.
