Role summaryTechnique Training is hiring a full-time Robotics & Automation Instructor based in San Luis, Mexico to deliver advanced, hands-on training in KUKA, ABB, and FANUC industrial robotics. This is a predominantly delivery role (~95% instruction) with light curriculum improvement (~5%). Training rigs are already in place. Occasional travel to the UK is expected (typically ~1 trip/year).
Who this is forYou’re a hands-on robotics professional who can teach clearly in both Spanish and English, keep sessions safe and structured, and help learners become job-ready through practical labs and real-world troubleshooting.
Compensation (recommended band)· Base salary: MXN $95,000 – $120,000 gross per month (target offer: MXN $105,000–$115,000 for a strong close rate)
· Benefits: statutory benefits; private medical if available
· Travel: all UK travel covered (flight/hotel/per diem)
· Optional bonus: 5–10% annual bonus tied to student outcomes and course readiness (details below)
Responsibilities (95% instruction)· Deliver instructor-led training in KUKA / ABB / FANUC to advanced level
· Run practical labs using existing training rigs (setup, demonstrations, supervised practice)
· Coach learners with mixed backgrounds and pace (supportive, structured, safety-first)
· Assess learner competence via practical evaluations and clear pass/fail criteria
· Maintain a professional, organised classroom/workshop environment (checklists, pre-flight checks)
· Coordinate with the wider Technique Training team on schedules,
learner needs, and continuous improvement
Curriculum improvement (5%)· Make small improvements to labs, worksheets, and assessments based on learner feedback
· Document common faults/mistakes and update troubleshooting guides
· Suggest incremental upgrades to exercises to keep content aligned with industry reality
Must-have skills· Advanced programming and operation experience in at least 2 of 3: KUKA, ABB, FANUC (3/3 strongly preferred)
· Real-world experience with commissioning and troubleshooting robot cells (not just classroom exposure)
· Strong fundamentals in:
o TCP/frames (work objects/user frames), payloads, mastering/calibration concepts o IO and basic integration concepts (PLC handshake awareness, interlocks)
o Safety mindset suitable for training environments
· Ability to teach fluently in Spanish and English (technical explanations, Q&A;, coaching)
Nice-to-have· OEM certifications (ABB/FANUC/KUKA)
· Offline programming/simulation exposure (e.g., RobotStudio, RoboGuide, KUKA.Sim)
· Prior adult training/instruction experience with measurable outcomes
What success looks like· Deliver courses confidently in EN/ES with consistently strong learner feedback
· Establish a repeatable delivery rhythm:
o daily plans, lab checklists, safety brief structure, assessment flow
· Produce 3–5 incremental improvements to labs/assessments (small, high-impact changes)
· Build a simple “common faults + fixes” playbook for learners
