We are looking for a Test Analyst I to support the quality and playability of video game titles across PC, console, and handheld platforms.
This is an entry-level Quality Assurance role focused on executing structured testing, identifying and documenting software defects, validating fixes, and providing actionable feedback on game functionality, performance, stability, and overall player experience.
The adecuado candidate is detail-oriented, technically curious, comfortable working with gaming hardware, and interested in developing a career in video game Quality Assurance.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute assigned test cases across PC, console, and handheld gaming platforms.
- Identify, reproduce, and document software defects using established QA methodologies.
- Create clear, concise, and actionable bug reports, including accurate reproduction steps and relevant supporting information.
- Perform regression testing to confirm resolved defects and identify potential issues introduced by new builds or releases.
- Evaluate game functionality, performance, and stability.
- Review performance indicators such as frame rate, loading times, and memory usage to help identify optimization opportunities.
- Provide feedback regarding gameplay, balance, usability, and the overall player experience.
- Create and maintain test documentation, including test procedures, test plans, and test results.
- Work with developers to reproduce complex issues and provide additional troubleshooting context.
- Collaborate with QA, development, production,
and other stakeholders to investigate reported issues.
- Continue developing proficiency with QA processes, testing methodologies, and relevant tools.
- Support and share foundational QA knowledge with less-experienced testers when appropriate.
Must-Have Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 0-2 years of Quality Assurance, software testing, game testing, or relevant troubleshooting experience; internships are acceptable.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical/problem-solving ability.
- Ability to follow established testing procedures and accurately execute predefined test cases.
- Comfortable working with PCs, gaming consoles, and/or handheld gaming devices.
- General computer proficiency, including productivity and documentation tools.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
- Strong organizational skills, reliability, and ownership of assigned work.
- Genuine interest in video games, including familiarity with common game mechanics and player behaviors.
- Ability to work additional hours during critical release periods when required.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Previous professional or internship experience in video game QA.
- Familiarity with bug-tracking or test-management systems.
- Exposure to debugging tools and troubleshooting processes.
- Experience evaluating game performance metrics.
- Previous experience documenting test procedures or test results.
