We are looking for a Data Test Analyst I to help validate the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data generated by video games and game-related systems.

This role sits at the intersection of Quality Assurance and data validation. The analyst will work with SQL, telemetry data, databases, and QA tools to validate game events, identify anomalies and regressions, and ensure that data-driven features behave as expected.

This is an early-career data QA role with opportunities to build deeper expertise in telemetry validation, SQL-based testing, data regression testing, anomaly investigation, and test documentation.

Key Responsibilities

- Test and validate game data for accuracy, consistency, and integrity across supported environments.
- Create and execute SQL queries to validate telemetry events and expected data outcomes.
- Review telemetry implementations and understand how new events may affect existing data.
- Assist in developing and executing test plans for data-driven systems and features.
- Perform regression testing to identify data anomalies introduced by code or configuration changes.
- Analyze data to identify unexpected patterns, trends, inconsistencies, and anomalies.
- Document test cases, findings, outcomes, and supporting evidence.
- Create clear reports communicating test results and identified risks.
- Work with QA analysts, developers, data stakeholders, and other teams to understand data requirements.
- Troubleshoot data workflows and basic ETL processes.
- Maintain accurate status and risk information within relevant QA and project-management tools.
- Continue developing knowledge of game telemetry,



data testing, databases, and QA methodologies.

Must-Have Qualifications

- 1-2 years of experience in data testing, Quality Assurance, data analysis, or a related discipline; relevant internship experience is acceptable.
- Working proficiency with SQL, including the ability to query, validate, and manipulate relational data.
- Understanding of relational databases, data structures, and common data-manipulation concepts.
- Ability to validate data outputs and identify anomalies or inconsistencies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational ability.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to clearly document testing outcomes and communicate issues.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Interest in video games and understanding of common gameplay concepts.

Strongly Preferred Qualifications

- Experience using QA and collaboration tools such as Jira, TestRail, and Confluence.
- Exposure to Databricks or comparable data-processing/analytics platforms.
- Experience testing ETL processes or troubleshooting data pipelines.
- Familiarity with telemetry or event-driven data.
- Familiarity with Python or another scripting language.
- Experience working within software or game-development lifecycles.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

- Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or comparable data-visualization tools.
- Experience analyzing game telemetry or player-behavior data.
- Exposure to advanced SQL functions or query-performance optimization.
