Job Summary

Syntax is seeking an experienced Test Lead / Business Analyst to support SAP S/4HANA transformation and optimization initiatives. This role combines business analysis, test leadership, and client engagement responsibilities.

The successful candidate will work closely with clients, business stakeholders, functional teams, and technical delivery teams to understand business needs, translate them into clear requirements, and ensure that SAP solutions meet expected quality and business outcomes.

This is a remote position based in Mexico, with occasional travel to client locations in the United States. The role requires excellent communication skills, strong client orientation, hands-on SAP S/4HANA experience with Fiori, and the ability to work effectively in international environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Work with business stakeholders to understand business processes, objectives, and challenges.
- Conduct workshops, interviews, and requirement-gathering sessions with clients and end users.
- Document business requirements, user stories, process flows, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria.
- Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Translate business requirements into clear and actionable inputs for SAP functional and technical teams.
- Support fit-to-standard and fit-to-gap analysis for SAP S/4HANA implementations and enhancements.
- Facilitate alignment between business stakeholders, project teams, and delivery leadership.
- Identify dependencies, risks, gaps, and potential impacts across business processes and system components.
- Define and manage test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, and test cases.
- Coordinate testing activities across business users, functional consultants, technical teams, and external partners.
- Lead functional, integration, regression, end-to-end, and user acceptance testing activities.
- Ensure that test cases adequately cover business requirements and critical process scenarios.
- Organize defect management, including triage,



prioritization, follow-up, and resolution tracking.
- Monitor testing progress, quality metrics, risks, and readiness for key project milestones.
- Support business users during user acceptance testing and help resolve functional questions.
- Prepare test status reports and communicate testing risks and outcomes to project stakeholders.
- Support cutover, go-live readiness, and post-go-live stabilization activities.
- Apply hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA business processes and applications.
- Work with SAP Fiori applications, including app validation, business process testing, usability feedback, and issue analysis.
- Collaborate with SAP functional teams to validate configuration, integrations, authorizations, and business process behavior.
- Contribute to solution validation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support the adoption of standard SAP functionality and digital business processes.
- Build trusted relationships with clients, business users, and project stakeholders.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Facilitate meetings and workshops with confidence, structure, and a strong focus on outcomes.
- Demonstrate a customer-oriented mindset and a proactive approach to solving problems.
- Manage expectations and communicate status, risks, decisions, and next steps effectively.
- Collaborate across geographically distributed teams and multicultural environments.
- Apply foundational AI knowledge to identify opportunities for process improvement, testing efficiency, automation, and business value creation.
- Understand the basic concepts, capabilities, limitations, and responsible use of generative AI and automation tools.
- Support the evaluation of AI-enabled use cases in SAP and business process environments.
- Promote practical and responsible adoption of AI within project delivery activities.

Required Qualifications

- Professional experience in SAP S/4HANA implementation, transformation, testing, business analysis,



or quality assurance.
- Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA and SAP Fiori.
- Previous experience as a Test Lead, Business Analyst, SAP Consultant, QA Lead, or in a comparable role.
- Experience defining test strategies, managing test execution, and coordinating defect resolution.
- Strong understanding of business requirements, process analysis, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Experience working with business stakeholders and facilitating workshops.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- 100% fluent business English, with the ability to communicate effectively in meetings, workshops, presentations, documentation, and client interactions.
- Ability and willingness to travel to the United States when required, subject to applicable travel and work authorization requirements.
- Strong client orientation and demonstrated ability to establish effective professional relationships.
- Foundational knowledge of artificial intelligence, generative AI, automation, or AI-enabled business solutions.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with international teams.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with SAP Activate or another structured SAP implementation methodology.
- Experience in integration testing across SAP and non-SAP systems.
- Familiarity with SAP Cloud solutions, SAP BTP, or SAP Solution Manager/Cloud ALM.
- Experience with test management or defect management tools.
- Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
- Experience supporting cutover, go-live, and hypercare activities.
- SAP certification in S/4HANA, testing, business analysis, or a relevant functional area.
- Experience working with clients or project teams in the United States.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted testing, process analysis, documentation, or productivity tools.
- An appreciation for innovation, continuous improvement, and modern delivery approaches, including automation and AI-enabled services.

Education & Certifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- SAP certification in S/4HANA, testing, business analysis, or a relevant functional area is highly desirable.
- Certifications in Agile, Scrum, business analysis, QA/testing, or project delivery are a plus
