Role Description The Multi-Skill Machinist is a full-time, on-site role based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring a variety of machining equipment to produce high-quality parts according to specifications and safety standards. Day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting technical drawings, selecting appropriate tools, performing precise measurements, and making adjustments to machines to ensure accuracy and efficiency. The Multi-Skill Machinist will inspect finished components, perform routine maintenance on equipment, and document production activities to support traceability and continuous improvement. The role also involves collaborating with production, quality, and engineering teams to solve technical issues, optimize processes, and support a clean, safe, and organized workspace.

Qualifications

- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and machining instructions, and apply them accurately on the shop floor.
- Experience operating and setting up multiple types of machining equipment (e.g., CNC machines, lathes, mills, grinders) with attention to safety and precision.




- Strong measurement and inspection skills, including use of calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other metrology tools to verify part quality.
- Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills to identify issues with machines, tooling, and processes, and assist in corrective actions.
- Familiarity with manufacturing safety standards, 5S practices, and continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Kaizen.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, maintain accurate records, and communicate effectively with supervisors and teammates.
- Demonstrated reliability, time management, and willingness to work in a fast-paced production environment with changing priorities.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in machining, manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in a machining or metalworking role is beneficial; exposure to food, wellness, or consumer products manufacturing is a plus.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, safely handle tools and materials, and work in standard industrial conditions.
