Accounting Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee the accounting and financial operations of the company. This position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of accounting records, financial reporting, tax compliance, payroll, accounts payable, banking activities, inventory accounting, and month-end closing processes.

The Accounting Manager will supervise the accounting team, maintain appropriate internal controls, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with Mexican accounting, tax, labor, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise the accounting team and ensure the accurate and timely recording of accounting transactions.
- Oversee billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, supplier payments, banking activities, and bank reconciliations.
- Review and supervise payroll processing and related accounting entries.
- Oversee inventory accounting, reconciliations, adjustments, and costing processes.
- Ensure proper issuance, receipt, validation, and accounting treatment of CFDIs and related documentation.
- Review and supervise monthly and annual accounting close processes.
- Prepare and review financial statements and management reports.
- Ensure the proper calculation, preparation, and filing of federal and state taxes.
- Oversee compliance with VAT, income tax, payroll taxes, DIOT, IEPS, electronic accounting, and other applicable tax obligations.
- Review and coordinate IMSS and INFONAVIT calculations, payments, and related compliance requirements.
- Perform account reconciliations and review supporting documentation for balance sheet and income statement accounts.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure proper documentation and audit trails.
- Monitor cash flow and support treasury and payment planning activities.
- Support inventory controls and coordinate accounting follow-up on physical inventory counts and adjustments.




- Ensure compliance with SAT requirements and follow up on tax-related matters, notices, and requests.
- Coordinate with external accountants, tax advisors, auditors, and other service providers as required.
- Coordinate accounting activities and information with Beles Accounting & Tax Services for U.S. operations.
- Maintain accurate and updated accounting information in CONTPAQi and other company systems.
- Support the implementation, use, and continuous improvement of Odoo and related accounting processes.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen internal controls, improve accounting processes, and increase the accuracy and efficiency of financial information.
- Prepare financial and accounting information requested by management.
- Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Professional license (Cédula Competente) required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, including experience leading or supervising an accounting function or team.
- Strong knowledge of Mexican accounting, tax, and labor regulations.
- Experience with federal and state taxes, CFDI, DIOT, IMSS, INFONAVIT, and electronic accounting requirements.
- Experience with CONTPAQi.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
- Technical English proficiency.
- Experience with Odoo is preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet reporting and compliance deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Effective communication and team leadership skills.
