Job Title: Application Engineer, IT

Position Overview

We are seeking an IT Application Engineer to support business applications used across Yinlun’s manufacturing and logistics operations in Mexico and North America.

This role will provide day-to-day application support, troubleshoot system and interface issues, support business users, and participate in system implementation, testing, go-live, and continuous improvement activities.

Depending on experience and business needs, the position may focus primarily on one of the following areas:

- Manufacturing Systems: MES, production execution, quality, traceability, shop-floor systems, and ERP integration
- Logistics Systems: WMS, warehouse operations, shipping, inventory, ERP/logistics processes, EDI, and related integrations

This is a hands-on role with opportunities to develop deeper functional and technical ownership of enterprise applications over time.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 application support for ERP, MES, WMS, and other business systems.
- Troubleshoot system issues, transaction errors, interface failures, and data inconsistencies.
- Own assigned support tickets through resolution or escalation.
- Support business users across production, warehouse, logistics, quality, supply chain, and related functions.
- Coordinate issue resolution with internal IT teams, developers, infrastructure teams, vendors, and business users.
- Support system implementations, upgrades, enhancements, testing, UAT, cutover, go-live, and hypercare.
- Assist with requirements gathering, process analysis, system configuration, and documentation.
- Monitor and troubleshoot system integrations between ERP, MES, WMS, quality systems, EDI, and other connected applications.
- Support master data, user access, application roles, and system-related process controls.




- Identify recurring system issues and support corrective actions and process improvements.
- Maintain work instructions, support documentation, user guides, and troubleshooting records.
- Train and support end users and key users.
- Build or support operational reports, data queries, and dashboards as needed.
- Participate in cross-site and cross-functional IT projects.
- Support planned after-hours activities when required for go-lives, cutovers, major releases, or critical production issues.

Manufacturing-Focused Responsibilities
- Support MES and production-related applications.
- Troubleshoot production execution, work order, reporting, quality, and traceability issues.
- Support interfaces between MES and ERP, APS, quality systems, shop-floor equipment, and other manufacturing applications.
- Work closely with production, quality, and engineering teams.

Logistics-Focused Responsibilities
- Support WMS and logistics-related applications.
- Troubleshoot receiving, material movement, inventory, warehouse, shipping, and delivery-related issues.
- Support ERP/WMS interfaces, EDI transactions, shipping processes, and warehouse data flows.
- Work closely with warehouse, logistics, supply chain, customer service, and shipping teams.

Qualifications

Education

- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Equivalent practical experience in enterprise application support may be considered.

Professional Experience




- 1–5 years of experience in IT application support, ERP support, MES/WMS support, business systems, or a related area.
- Junior candidates with strong technical fundamentals and relevant internship/project experience may also be considered.
- Experience supporting applications in a live production or business environment is preferred.
- Manufacturing, automotive, warehouse, logistics, or supply chain experience is highly preferred.

Skills

- Experience with one or more enterprise systems such as ERP, MES, WMS, SAP, Oracle, Infor, IFS, Blue Yonder, Plex, JD Edwards, QAD, or similar platforms.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to investigate system errors, logs, data issues, and interface failures.
- Basic understanding of system integrations and business process flows.
- Experience with SQL or database queries is preferred.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Jira, or similar tools.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work with both technical teams and business users.
- Professional working proficiency in Spanish and English.
- Ability to work full-time onsite in Monterrey.
- Ability to support occasional off-hours activities when required.
- Willingness to travel occasionally between Mexico and U.S. locations if needed.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with SAP S/4HANA or SAP ECC.
- Experience with MES, WMS, EDI, IDocs, ERP integrations, or manufacturing systems.
- Experience supporting production, warehouse, logistics, quality, or supply chain operations.
- Experience with SQL, Power BI, reporting tools, or data analysis.
- Experience with system implementations, UAT, go-live, or hypercare.
- Automotive manufacturing experience.
- Familiarity with IATF 16949, ITIL, ISO 27001, or TISAX.
- Experience working in a multinational or cross-cultural environment.
