Buyer Jr. (Temporary)

Responsible for supporting the procurement and supply of materials required for production. This role ensures the timely availability of raw materials by managing purchase orders, monitoring inventory levels, coordinating with suppliers, and supporting material planning activities. The position works closely with Production Planning, Operations, Logistics, and Suppliers to prevent material shortages and maintain continuity of supply.

Responsibilities

- Procurement & Supply Management: Manage raw material procurement activities by creating and monitoring purchase orders based on MRP requirements, ensuring on-time deliveries, maintaining supplier communication, and expediting critical orders when necessary.
- Material Planning: Analyze MRP requirements, demand forecast, inventory levels, and production schedules to ensure material availability, maintain optimal inventory levels, minimize excess stock, and support safety stock management.
- Supplier Management: Maintain effective supplier relationships by ensuring continuous communication, monitoring supplier performance (delivery, quality, and responsiveness), mitigating supply risk,



and supporting the qualification and onboarding of new suppliers.
- Inventory Control: Monitor raw material inventory and supply flow to identify shortages, excess inventory, and obsolescence risk while supporting inventory accuracy and control activities.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to ensure material availability, communicate supply constraints, and support the resolution of quality and delivery issues.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's Degree.
- Conversational English.
- Basic knowledge of MRP, Inventory Control, and or Supply Chain Management.
- Procurement knowledge.
- APICS knowledge is a plus.
- Knowledge of MRP and Inventory Management concepts.
- ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, JDE, QAD, BAAN, etc.).
- Microsoft Excel (Intermediate to Advanced).
