Role Summary

This role is responsible for managing the procurement of materials, services, and equipment required for the company’s operations. This role involves executing purchasing activities, ensuring timely and cost-effective purchases, and supporting project requirements.

The Buyer reports directly to the Senior Buyer and works under their guidance.

Job Specific Responsibilities

- Procure materials, services, and equipment in line with company and project requirements
- Process and approve purchase orders, contracts, and procurement documents
- Coordinate procurement schedules with other departments and project teams to meet operational timelines
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with suppliers to ensure quality products and competitive pricing
- Track and manage the progress of purchase orders and deliveries, addressing any issues or delays
- Negotiate with suppliers for favorable terms and conditions
- Support the Senior Buyer in implementing procurement strategies and policies




- Assist with tracking procurement budgets and ensuring adherence to project timelines
- Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure timely reporting of activities
- Continuously strive to improve procurement processes and contribute to department goals.

Qualifications

- Preferably a bachelor's degree: Procurement, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Years of experience: minimum 1-3 years of experience in procurement or a related field.

Skills/abilities:

- Strong negotiation, organizational, and communication skills
- Familiarity with procurement systems and processes
- Knowledge of the offshore drilling industry or similar sectors is beneficial.
